DTS – DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL
The DTS is a five-month program (in-person and full-time) that combines theoretical learning, small group activities, personal reflection, practical service and community life. It is a great time to grow in intimacy with God, know Him more deeply, discover His purposes in the Kingdom, put your faith into practice, and spread the Gospel through your gifts and abilities.

WHAT IS A DTS?
The DTS is an opportunity to grow in intimacy with God, know Him more deeply, discover your purposes in the Kingdom, put your faith into practice, and share the Gospel through your gifts and abilities.
This school has two stages: the lecture phase (3 months) and the practical phase (the outreach, 2 months).
LECTURE PHASE
In the lecture phase your focus will be on getting to know God, His Word, and His world. You will seek transformation, a renewed mind, and personal growth. You will learn not only from experienced and mature teachers, but also from community life and practical training.
A day in DTS is very intense!
In the morning we have breakfast, meditation (time alone with God), intercession or praise, and classes with a coffee break in between.
Lunch is at 2pm, according to Spanish culture. Then, service time (cleaning and maintenance of common areas).
We have different activities during the afternoon such as classes, workshops, rehearsals, practical activities in the city, and others.
After dinner we have free time, which we usually use to do DTS work, read books, or just relax.
OUTREACH
After the lecture phase, we go out into the world to be part of what God is doing.
It’s time to put into practice what you learned at the base, and have incredible experiences with Him and others, while we seek the manifestation of the Kingdom of God.
You may be assigned to different activities and ministries, such as sharing with a person at a festival, cleaning parks (or bathrooms!), preaching in a church.
Whatever you do, it’s your opportunity to bless the nations, working side by side with your team and the Holy Spirit to participate in what God is doing.
one dts, two continents
We are excited to share that our DTS this autumn will be a collaboration between YWAM Cáceres and a team in a city located in North Africa. For our lecture phase, we will be doing two months in Cáceres and one month there. Come join us for a DTS that will be in two continents! See you the 22nd of September!

THE DTS LEADER
Hi! My name is Jessica and I’m originally from Canada. I love discipleship, good conversations, cozy cafes and the colour green. I did my own DTS 23 years ago and I’ve been with YWAM in the USA, Germany, England and now Spain. I love the DTS because God uses it to bring transformation in lives of those who do the school!
For this specific DTS, my hope is that it will be an impulse to push you further in your relationship with the Lord. Whether you have known the Lord for 25+ years or 1 year, we are consistently invited to mature more in knowing God deeper and more personally. Through this we have the opportunity to grow in our own identity and understanding of God’s call and purpose in our lives to share His love with the nations. Come and do all of this in the context of a community of people who also want to know God and make Him known!

I am not a European citizen. Do I need a visa?
For those who do not have citizenship or residency in any European country, it will be necessary to enter Spain as a tourist. When the time comes, we will give you all the necessary information to do your DTS with us.
How can I pay for the school?
The registration fee (100 euros) must be paid when you are accept to the school. Full payment for the DTS (5,000 euros) is to be pai upon arrival at the school on September 22nd. Important: If you are unable to pay the full costs of the DTS, you must speak with the school leader and the base leadership a minimum of one month BEFORE arriving in Cáceres.
Where will I live during school?
We are preparing with great love and attention a good apartment or house where the students can live (separated into boys’ and girls’ rooms). It will be a welcoming and safe environment to live in community, support each other and apply the principles and values learned in classes.
Where will the outreach be?
The 2-month mission trip, the outreach, has not yet been decided. We will seek God’s guidance and decide the best way, taking into consideration visa and permit issues.
